In keeping with their desire to create sustainable piece of architecture, designers recycled everything from bathroom fixtures to the front doors. Insulation is double and south facing passive solar windows provide added warmth during a winter. Additional comfort is provided by radiant heating in the ground level concrete floor, green roofs and walls. Heat pump is installed in outdoor pond. Materials incorporated in this project include exposed concrete block walls, natural stone veneer walls, plaster, concrete floors, translucent glass panels.
